In April of 1995, María Reyes reached her dream,
the grand opening of “El Salvadoreño”.

Reyes was born in Santa Rosa de Lima, a small town close to the border with Honduras. She grew up in San Miguel, an agricultural region notable for it’s distintive cousine.
Her mother owned a food kiosk. Reyes started working helping her mother, learning at a young age how to prepare pupusas and other popular specialties of salvadorian cousine.
El Salvadoreño carries the same passion and flavor that caracterize authentic salvadorian cousine, offering visitors an experience full of fresness, flavors, and the unmatchable warmth of eating at home.
